The Legends Are Back! Bringing You the New Edition of Iconic Marshall Pedals

At the beginning of 2023, Marshall decided to remind guitar players all over the world that its indisputable position in the industry is not a coincidence. So, with the utmost delight, we announce that the date of 25th February marks the release of the reissues of four iconic guitar pedals.

Marshall Guv’nor

Released in 1988, The Guv’nor was the first pedal that squeezed Marshall’s ‘big black box’ sound into a ‘little black box’. Fast forward to the present day and now this vintage reissue is here to do it all over again.

Since it first hit the market, The Guv’nor set the standard for distortion; from soft, driven tones to cranking the gain for a classic, heavier sound.

This faithful reproduction sticks to what made this pedal special in the first place. From the unique design to the instantly recognizable sound, everything has been painstakingly recreated in the same factory that has been building Marshall amplifiers for sixty years.

A pedal inspired by the amp used by the legendary Eric Clapton. Just like the amp, the pedal delivered warm, organic drive, perfect for playing around with breakup.

Now we’ve brought back a replica of the pedal that’s appeared in the collections of revered guitarists’ rigs worldwide. Capable of providing subtle boosts, clear headroom, and bags of character, rediscover the sounds of the late 90s and 00s.

The original Bluesbreaker pedals are now collector’s pieces and are heavily sought after. Thanks to this faithful reissue, meticulously designed and hand-built at our famous Bletchley factory, now you can own the real thing.

Marshall Drivemaster

From bluesy overdrive to bright, cutting distortion, the Drivemaster delivers in every situation. Today the original Drivemaster pedals are sought-after collectors’ items, but they’re too good to hide away. So now it’s back.

The Drivemaster simplified the Guv’nor’s circuitry and added a touch more gain at lower frequencies. The Bass, Middle, and Treble controls offer detailed tone-shaping. Altogether this creates a heavy-duty, reliable pedal with a wide range of tones and applications.

This accurate reproduction lovingly follows the exact specification of the original, rebuilt for today’s guitarist. It’s been hand-built in the very same factory that has been building Marshall amplifiers for over sixty years. We hope you enjoy accessing the wide range of distorted tones that define the ‘Marshall sound’.

Marshall Shredmaster

At Marshall, we live and breathe distortion. We create, shape, and project it. This meant expectations were high when we launched the original Shredmaster pedal in 1991. It promised swathes of high-gain distortion, perfect for saturated rhythm sounds and searing solos.

Delivering new levels of distortion, the original Shredmaster appeared on numerous tracks in the late 90s. After this, demand soared for the Shredmaster’s distinct, thrashy sound but the pedal remained difficult to get hold of.

Thanks to this authentic and faithful reissue, that’s no longer a problem. You’re holding in your hands an exact recreation of the original Shredmaster. The components and features that made it so special have been accurately recreated for today’s guitarist. It’s designed and hand-built at our famous Bletchley headquarters, where we’ve been building amps for over sixty years.
